Cathay Pacific has announced four of its cargo flights departing from Changi Airport – three to Hong Kong and one to Penang – were refuelled using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) provided by a Singapore supplier. Read More » It was the first time the airline group had used SAF on commercial flights that had not been uploaded in Hong Kong. The SAF was blended and delivered by ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. “By expanding the uplift of blended SAF on selected commercial flights at Changi Airport, as well as our home hub, we hope to strengthen SAF awareness across the Asia-Pacific and send a strong signal to the supply chain that there is firm demand for SAF from airlines,” Cathay Pacific group CEO, Ronald Lam, said. In addition to commercial flights departing from Hong Kong, Cathay is operating with SAF on its A350s being delivered from Airbus FALs in Europe to its home base.
