EVA Airways traffic update reports healthy passenger expansion

EVA Airways exceeded one million passengers carried last month, the first time the Taiwan-headquartered airline has posted a seven figure plus calendar month total since the outbreak of the pandemic. Read More » The Star Alliance member flew 1.03 million passengers in July, the highest monthly total achieved since the 1.2 million passengers it flew in January 2020. The result was up 4.8% month-on-month from the 983,146 passengers EVA carried in June. Passenger revenue for the 31 days was NT$13.6 billion (US$427 million), 7.3% higher than the NT$12.7 billion in revenue recorded in the previous month. Compared with pre-COVID-19, the airline’s July passengers were 111.3% of the 925,657 flown in July 2019. Passenger revenue was 178.5% of the NT$7.6 billion the airline booked in the same month four years ago.
