China drops final COVID-19 testing requirements for international visitors

China has removed the rule that travellers into the country must produce a negative result for COVID-19 either from a nucleic acid test or an antigen test. Read More » The cancellation of the last of the Mainland’s anti-COVID-19 initiatives, effective from August 30, was announced by a Ministry for Foreign Affairs spokesperson on August 28. China has been accepting applications for visitor visas and visa-free travel since it reopened its international border in January this year, but travel into and from the country has lagged the broader global recovery.
