Korean Air launches cargo sustainable aviation fuel program

Korean Air (KAL) is offering its cargo customers and forwarders the option of supporting production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Read More » KAL said its freight customers will be able to make contributions to reduce their carbon footprint that the airline will use to purchase more SAF. “We are pleased to work with our clients to reduce carbon emissions from cargo operations with the SAF program,” KAL senior vice president and head of KAL's cargo business division, Jaedong Eum, said. “Korean Air is committed to sustainable development with our next generation in mind. KAL has pledged, as has the rest of the aviation industry, to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.”
