China Southern Airlines reports 67.5% jump in domestic passengers

China Southern Airlines (CSA) said 12.9 million passengers flew on its domestic network in August, up 67.5% from the 7.7 million passengers it transported in the same month in 2022. Read More » The August figure was a small increase from the 12.8 million customers carried on the airline’s domestic flights in July. Domestic passenger load factor for the 31 days was 80%, compared with 80.5% in July and 69.1% in August 2022. The month’s domestic passenger total was 105.5% of the 12.2 million travellers CSA carried in pre-COVID August 2019. Capacity was 119.6% of the airline’s August 2019 domestic available seat kilometres.
