British Airways and IndiGo launch codeshare partnership

British Airways (BA) has commenced a codeshare agreement with IndiGo covering eight destinations in India. Read More » As part of the agreement, the oneworld alliance member has added its BA airline code on IndiGo-operated flights from New Delhi to Amritsar and from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, Goa, Kochi, Kolkata, Rajkot, Thiruvananthapuram and Vadodara. The codeshare flights are available for travel from October 12 2023. “British Airways has been flying to India since 1924, making it one of our longest-served and most valued destinations," BA director of network and alliances, Neil Chernoff, said. "Our partnership with IndiGo means that customers will be able to book their entire journey on one ticket, allowing seamless travel all the way from London to their final destination, offering more choice and flexibility for customers." IndiGo senior vice president of network planning and revenue management, Abhijit Dasgupta, said: “This step to provide seamless connectivity will not only support trade and commerce between the two countries but also offer convenient travel options to students and tourists."
