Jet Airways owner targets 2024 revival; injects additional funds in the grounded airline

Jet Airways owner, the Jalan-Kalrock consortium, plans to return the airline to flying next year and also has announced it will invest another 1 billion rupee (US$12 million) in the Mumbai-based carrier. Read More » The funds injection increases Jalan-Kalrock's financial commitment in the airline to 3.5 billion rupee. The financially stricken carrier has been grounded since April 2019 despite the Jalan-Kalrock consortium taking control of Jet in June 2021. Jalan-Kalrock will announce more details about the airline’s launch date “in coming weeks”, it said. Jet Airways lost its CEO-designate in May, when Sanjiv Kapoor left the company.
