Typhoon Koinu forces regional and domestic flight cancellations across Taiwan

The arrival of Typhoon Koinu on the southern tip of Taiwan resulted in more than 100 flights into and from Kaohsiung Airport being cancelled on October 4, figures from the Taiwanese government show. Read More » The flights were a mixture of domestic and international services. Taiwanese airlines, including China Airlines, EVA Airways and Tigerair Taiwan, advised air travellers to check the status of their flights before departing for the airport. At press time, Typhoon Koinu was heading towards southern China after leaving Taiwan.
