Qantas Airways returning to Paris after two decade absence

Read More » The Sydney-Perth-Paris Charles de Gaulle service will begin on July 12 with four flights a week before dropping back to three times weekly from mid-August. Paris will join the airline’s year-round service to London Heathrow and its seasonal rotation to Rome from its Perth Terminal 3 hub. The oneworld alliance member last served Paris with its own aircraft two decades ago. Currently, it sells Paris via codeshares with Air France and Emirates Airline. “This route has been on our wish list for a while,” Qantas Group CEO, Vanessa Hudson, said. “Our direct flights to London and Rome have been hugely popular and Paris is the next most requested destination, so we know demand for this service will be strong as well.” Qantas said international capacity for the airline group – Qantas Airways and Jetstar – is forecast to be 90% of pre-COVID-19 levels by year-end and reach 100% by mid next year.
