Jetstar launching to Thailand and Singapore from Western Australia; setting up pilot base in Perth

Australia-based Jetstar Airways is establishing up a 60 strong pilot base in Perth and introducing services to Thailand and Singapore from the city. Read More » Four aircraft will be based in Perth, including the A321neoLR, the Qantas Group subsidiary said. The LCC will launch nonstop from Perth to Bangkok, Phuket and Singapore in 2024, it said. Schedules for the new routes have not been announced. “This is a huge investment in our Perth operations,” Jetstar Group CEO, Stephanie Tully, said. “These three routes will open up low-fare travel across Southeast Asia for our West Coast customers by providing easy connections, via Singapore, to Jetstar Asia’s network of 13 destinations across Asia.” Currently, Jetstar's sole international route from Perth is nonstop to Bali Denpasar. Qantas Airways, Singapore Airlines and Scoot fly nonstop Perth-Singapore.
