China’s regulator “welcomes” Boeing exchanges, affirms “close working relationship”

In comments on the regulator’s website, a senior Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) official said it has told Boeing it is welcome to develop its business in China. Read More » The exchange between CAAC deputy administrator, Hu Zhenjiang, and Boeing senior vice president for development programs and customer support, Mike Fleming, occurred during a meeting in Beijing on December 8. Hu said Boeing and the CAAC had established a close working relationship and jointly promoted the safe, healthy and sustainable development of the global aviation industry. The deputy administrator said Boeing was welcome to continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CAAC. Fleming said Boeing had established a profound friendship with China's civil aviation sector in the past 50 years, attached great importance to the market and was optimistic about its future development, the CAAC statement said. Boeing is willing to actively deepen cooperation with China to promote the development of the aviation industry and provide better products to benefit people in China, the U.S. and the world, the OEM added. Reuters was the first media source to report the CAAC comments.
