All Nippon Airways outlines international expansion for year ahead

All Nippon Airways (ANA) will add several nonstop routes to its network to Europe and thicken its schedule to key Asia-Pacific destinations in 2024. Read More » New routes include Tokyo Haneda to Istanbul, Milan and Stockholm from the start of the 2024 northern hemisphere winter scheduling season followed by the resumption of nonstop Haneda-Vienna in August and an increase to double daily Tokyo to Munich and Paris services from July 1. “The core of our growth in the next fiscal year will be our international flight business,” ANA HOLDINGS INC. CEO, Koji Shibata, said. “With the addition of AirJapan [to our group], we can leverage three brands and offer customers different options to meet their travel needs. This ambitious network expansion reflects investments to meet demand, while adhering to our sustainable growth mission.” ANA said the impact of the Pratt & Whitney P&W 1100G-JM engine inspections will be “gradually resolved” by the end of July. As a result, ANA and its LCC subsidiary, Peach, are planning on increasing capacity in the 12 months to March 31, 2025 compared with the previous 12 months.
