AirAsia Thailand (AAT) will introduce a second nonstop route between Thailand and Japan on April 2 with four times a week Bangkok Don Mueang-Naha, Okinawa. Read More » The LCC’s first destination to Japan is daily Don Mueang-Fukuoka. “Japan has been a popular destination for Thai travellers and Thailand continues to be popular for our Japanese guests,” AAT CEO, Santisuk Klongchaiya, said. “Our first direct flight to Japan, Fukuoka, initially flew four times a week. It was very well received so now it is seven times a week. Seeking another opportunity to serve travellers, we chose Okinawa and look forward to it being a top choice with Thai and Japanese tourists alike.” Sister carrier, Thai AirAsia X (TAAX), serves Osaka Kansai and Tokyo Narita from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi.
