Thai Airways International confirms order for 45 787-9s, switches from Rolls Royce to GE engines

As Bloomberg news agency pointed out, THAI publicly rebuked Rolls Royce last November when THAI CEO, Chai Eamsiri, threatened to take his business elsewhere after the UK engine manufacturer balked at the price discount the airline sought. The order will not affect repayment terms required by its debt rehabilitation scheme, the airline said.
