Air China recorded 47.7% increase in passengers for January

Air China flew 12.1 million passengers on its domestic and international services last month, up from the 6.8 million customers it transported a year ago. Read More » Domestic passenger numbers increased 33.4%, to 10.6 million, and international passengers carried were 1,257.7% higher at 1.1 million air travellers. The traffic update said capacity expanded 53.1% in the month and passenger load factor increased 7.3 percentage points to 77.6%. It was a busy month for fleet changes at the airline group with one ARJ21-700, four A320 family aircraft and two 737 family aircraft arriving at its Beijing home hub and four A320 family aircraft withdrawn from service. At January 31, the airline had a fleet of 908 aircraft.
