Regional Airlines and Etihad Airways begin interline partnership

Australia's Regional Airlines (Rex) and Etihad Airways will interline with immediate effect, allowing their customers to book flights across their respective networks on a single ticket. Read More » “Partnering with a world-class airline like Etihad brings a new era of choice and connection for Rex passengers,” Rex general manager network strategy, Warrick Lodge, said. “Passengers can fly to Sydney or Melbourne on Rex and connect on Etihad to 72 destinations across the globe.” Etihad chief revenue and commercial officer, Arik De, said the agreement with Rex significantly expanded connectivity options for the airline's passengers beyond the Abu Dhabi-headquartered carrier's Australian gateways of Melbourne and Sydney. “Equally, we are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Rex customers enabling them to seamlessly integrate into our expanding global network,” De said. Rex interlines with Delta Air Lines and Etihad has a codeshare agreement and a frequent flyer partnership with Virgin Australia.
