IATA cargo head says foundations laid for sector’s sustainable growth

Read More » However, replacing paper-based manual processes with digital solutions had “not happened as fast” as many in the industry would like, Sullivan said, but he drew attention to the adoption of the ONE Record standard for data sharing and the streamlining of customs processes as progress to an all-digital air freight future. Highlighting recent developments, he pointed to the work defining the transportation of lithium batteries and the increasing use of sustainable aviation fuel as encouraging outcomes. “We work in an inspiring sector. Our success matters,” Sullivan said in prepared remarks. “The building blocks are in place to significantly accelerate progress.”
