Virgin Australia commences general ticket sales for Link Airways codeshare flights

Virgin Australia (VA) has opened general ticket sales for itineraries which include codeshare flights operated by regional carrier Link Airways. Read More » While travel agents have been selling VA and Link Airways codeshare services since the start of the year, these itineraries are now available on the VA website. “The sky’s the limit now for so many regional Australians wanting better connectivity between home and the rest of our great country,” VA chief strategy and transformation officer, Alistair Hartley, said. "We know our customers in regional Australia want this service, having already sold thousands of seats via travel agents since we announced the partnership in January. I can confirm that Bundaberg to Brisbane return is our most popular route so far under this new partnership." The codeshare agreement added 17 new regional services, operated by Link Airways with a fleet of 34-seat Saab 340B Plus and 19-seat Metro 23 turboprops, to the VA network.
