The International Civil Aviation Organisation Council has adopted new aviation standards and recommended practices for remotely piloted aircraft systems.

China Aircraft Leasing Group has signed an agreement with WWTAI AIROPCO 1 BERMUDA Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of FTAI Aviation Ltd, for the sale of one 737-700. The transaction is scheduled to be finalised by April 30

GE Aerospace has announced a 2.4 billion rupee (US$29 million) investment to expand its India manufacturing facility in Pune where components for G90, GEnx and GE 9X engines are produced along with CFM’s LEAP engine family. CFM is a GE Aerospace and Safran joint venture. “The investment will add new projects and manufacturing processes by acquiring machines/equipment and specialised tools along with capacity enhancement of existing products,” GE Aerospace said.

Air Canada has contracted airport services company, SATS, to provide passenger, ramp and cargo handling services at Changi Airport for the airline's new four week a week Vancouver-Singapore flights.

Air travel technology company, SITA, has published a White Paper, “Face the Future”, which states “existing paper-based and manual travel infrastructure and legacy processes simply will not be able to cope” with growth in air passengers in the decades ahead without the broader introduction of the biometrics technology of facial and fingerprint recognition that will create a “smoother, safer, and slicker” air transport experience.
