China Southern Airlines books 24.5% increase in passengers carried

China Southern Airlines (CSA) flew 13 million passengers last month compared with the 10.5 million passengers it transported a year ago. Read More » The Guangzhou-headquartered carrier said domestic passengers carried were 15.9% higher at 11.6 million for the 31 days. International passengers recorded rose 251.6%, to 1.3 million, CSA said. The airline grew capacity 22.4% and lifted its passenger load factor by 8.3 percentage points to 82.3%. CSA added three A320neo family, one 737 MAX family and one ARJ21 aircraft to its 917 aircraft fleet in March and withdrew an A320 from service.
