AEGEAN orders “special purpose” A321neo for Asia expansion

Read More » The Greek carrier is investing in an extended range, upgraded cabin quality version of the A321neo to create a “special purpose” sub-fleet, initially to be four A321neo, it said. The new A321neo will have additional fuel tanks, providing operational capability for flights up to 7.5 hours, the airline said. It added the cabin configuration will be reduced from AEGEAN’s standard A321neo layout of 220 seats to a maximum of 180 seats. Features of the “special purpose” single aisles will be satellite connectivity, IFE screens in every seat and a premium lie-flat business class cabin. The four neo are scheduled for delivery to AEGEAN from 2026 to 2027.
