Air New Zealand’s cargo-only flights with NZ Post, using all-electric ALIA CTOL aircraft from BETA Technologies, is scheduled to begin in 2026, with Wellington-Marlborough nominated the inaugural route. The airline has chosen Wellington Airport as home base for its all-electric aircraft.

Bangkok Airways has extended its contract with Sabre for the use of the GDS’s network planning and optimisation solutions cloud-enabled Schedule Manager, Slot Manager and Codeshare Manager.

Japan public helicopter air charter service, AirX Inc., has signed a Letter of Intent with Eve Air Mobility for “up to 10 firm and up to 40 optional” electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft as well as support services and urban air traffic management software.

Fiji Airways has selected software company Assaia's TurnaroundControl solution to improve its on-time performance. Fiji Airways is Assaia's first Asia-Pacific airline customer.

Fokker Services Group has been appointed sole remarketing agent for a Fokker 70 operated by Australia's Alliance Airlines. The Fokker 70, registration VH-KBX, has a VIP configuration of 24 seats and previously was operated by the Netherlands Government.

Embraer reported seven commercial aircraft deliveries for the quarter to March 31. The company forecasts it will deliver 72 to 80 E-jets and upgraded E2s in calendar 2024.

Safran Aircraft Engines and Royal Air Maroc have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand their Safran Aircraft Engines Services Morocco joint venture that provides MRO on CFM56 engines. The MoU has the potential to increase shop visits at the Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport facility from 70 to 100 a year by 2026.
