AirAsia Philippines considers change of terminals at Manila airport

AirAsia Philippines is in discussions with the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) to transfer its international flights, which operate out of Terminal 3, to Terminal 1. Read More » The LCC said the relocation, if approved, will help its airport operations be more efficient and improve the customer experience. “The shorter distance between Terminals 1 and 2, where AirAsia operates domestic flights, will optimise taxiway use and minimise carbon emissions, greatly benefiting the airport’s entire operations,” AirAsia Philippines head of communications and public affairs and first officer, Steve Dailisan, said. “Guests are expected to have an improved customer journey with shorter transfer times between the two terminals. We see this as the ‘best move’ for all stakeholders. The MIAA, under the stewardship of general manager, Eric Jose Ines, has been very welcoming of this initiative.”
