Japan Airlines reports booming business in fiscal 2023-2024

Japan Airlines (JAL) has booked a net profit of 95.5 billion yen (US$640 million) for the financial year to March 31. Read More » The results were 177.5% higher than the 34.4 billion yen profit the airline group recorded in full-year 2022-2023 and was an increase of 98.8% against pre-pandemic fiscal year 2019. Revenue was 1.65189 trillion yen, up 20.1% increase from 2022-2023. Passenger load factor was 78.6% for international, 76.1% for domestic, 77.9% for ZIPAIR Tokyo and 70.1% at Spring Japan. For the year to March 31, 2025, JAL’s guidance is revenue of 1.93 trillion yen, earnings before interest and tax of 170 billion yen and a net profit of 100 billion yen.
