Emirates Airlines to include India and Sri Lanka in international A350-900 network

Read More » The Dubai-headquartered carrier will commence A350 operations in September, with 10 A350-900s expected to arrive in its fleet by March 31, 2025. The A350-900 is scheduled to take over EK538/539 to Ahmedabad and EK502/503 to Mumbai from October 27. EK654/655, between Dubai and Colombo, will switch to the A350-900 on January 1, 2025. “The A350 will be a game-changer for Emirates, enabling us to serve regional points with superior operating efficiency and flexibility across the Middle East and GCC, West Asia and Europe,” Emirates deputy president and chief commercial officer, Adnan Kazim, said. “Flying the A350 to nine cities in such a short span of time adds premium cabin options and choice across geographies for our customers and ensures we maintain our competitive edge and industry leading position.” Emirates has configured its A350-900s, to be flown on short and medium-haul routes, with 32 business, 21 premium economy and 259 economy seats. The first Emirates A350-900 flight, Dubai-Bahrain, will commence on September 15. The other launch destinations of the type are Dubai to Edinburgh, Bologna, Kuwait, Lyon and Muscat.
