China Southern Airlines records 144% air traffic increase in April

Read More » Passenger traffic for domestic, regional and international routes increased by 3.12%, 42.20%, and 143.80%, respectively, over a year ago, CSA said. The airline group’s capacity expanded 9.52% against April 2023, although domestic capacity declined by 5.59% for the reported 30 days. Demand resulted in available seat kilometres increasing on domestic routes by 31.29% and rising by 120.17% on CSA’s international network. Passenger load factor was 83.08% for the month, up 7.12 percentage points compared with a year earlier. CSA introduced a 737 MAX and two A321neo into its fleet during the month and shed an A321, an A320, three A330-200s and four 737-700s, taking its operating fleet to 911 commercial aircraft. CSA will resume daily Beijing Daxing-Singapore, flown by A321neo, in July.
