IndiGo will test a wireless inflight entertainment system in coming months in partnership with the manufacturer of portable IFE solution, AirFi. The three-month program, available through the IndiGo mobile app under the name HELLO 6E, will be available on Delhi-Goa flights.
Japan Airlines has selected Intelsat to provide multi-orbit inflight connectivity service on more than 20 737 MAXs that will join the fleet at later dates. The airline will be one of the first in the Asia-Pacific to offer multi-orbit service using Intelsat’s new electronically steered array (ESA) antenna.
RTX’s Collins Aerospace and Panasonic Avionics unveiled MAYA, dubbed the future of premium air travel as the 2024 Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg. The suite features ARISE comfort technology that adjusts passenger seat cushion pressure, controls temperature and reduces vibrations automatically and a 45-inch Astrova Curve high-definition OLED screen.
Safran Passenger Innovations has announced that the award-winning RAVE In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system now supports Extended Reality (XR) including Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) devices.
Also at the Aircraft Interiors expo, Airbus unveiled its A330neo Airspace concept. It has a new Hero Light and Welcome Panel, new linings for the interior sidewalls, ceiling and door frame panels and electro-dimmable windows (EDWs). Airspace will be available for purchase from 2027-2028.
Thales unveiled FlytEDGE, the system empowering airlines to recommend experiences tailored to each person's preferences.
