AirCalin gradually resuming international network after weeks of anti-government riots

Read More » The South Pacific airport had been closed since violent and destructive riots broke out in New Caledonia on May 13. At press time, a limited number of international flights were operating with passengers restricted to one suitcase at a maximum weight of 23kg per person. The first regional service to be resumed was Papeete-Nadi-Brisbane. It has been followed by New Caledonia to Sydney, Tokyo Narita and Singapore. Since La Tontouta airport was closed to commercial flights three weeks ago185 flights have been canceled affecting 20,000 passengers, the airline said.
