Airbus booked 27 new aircraft orders in May

Airbus received gross orders for 27 aircraft last month, lifting total gross orders for the first five months of the year to 254 airliners. Read More » The manufacturer's monthly summary showed two confirmed orders for May: seven A321neos from lessor, Nordic Aviation Capital, and 20 A330-900s from an undisclosed customer. There were 12 cancellations during the month, bringing total cancellations from January to May to 17. As a result, net orders for the year to date numbered 237 aircraft. The Toulouse-headquartered group delivered 53 aircraft in the 31 days, down from 61 aircraft in April. Customers accepted 256 Airbus airliners between January 1 and May 31 this year.
