Cebu Pacific to purchase up to 152 A320neo family aircraft

Cebu Pacific (CEB) has agreed a binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for 102 A321neo firm orders and purchase rights for 50 A320neo family aircraft. Read More » All aircraft included in the MoU will be powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines. The Philippines-headquartered LCC is an existing Airbus customer with A320 family and A330-900 aircraft in its fleet. “The order is designed to provide Cebu Pacific with maximum flexibility to adapt fleet growth to market conditions and have the ability to switch between the A321neo and A320neo,” Cebu Pacific CEO, Michael Szucs, said. “When finalised, the deal will be a significant milestone for the local airline industry and a testament to CEB’s unwavering commitment to support the Philippines growth story.” The purchasing agreement is expected to be finalised by September 30.
