Sri Lanka government reverses decision to privatise flag carrier

The government received six expressions of interest to purchase the airline and found none suitable, de Silva said. He emphasised only 49% of SriLankan Airlines can be sold to outside parties. In April, the government said AirAsia Consulting Sdn. Bhd., Dharshaan Elite Investment Holding (Pvt) Ltd, FITS Aviation (Private) Limited, Hayleys PLC, Sherisha Technologies Private Limited and Treasure Republic Guardians Limited had responded to a Request for Qualification (RfQ) from the Ministry of Finance's State-Owned Enterprise Restructuring Unit.
