Boeing grounds 777-9X test flights after cracks found in wing component

Boeing has paused the flight testing of its 777-9X aircraft after a post-flight check uncovered cracks in a thrust link that connects the engines to the wings. The OEM will resume the type’s testing after the component issue is resolved, The Air Current reports. Boeing commenced certification flight testing of the 777-9X, with U.S. Federal Aviation Administration representatives on board, in July. The program is five years behind schedule.
