Capital A secures US$443 million revenue bond

Capital A Berhad (Capital A) has signed a US$443 million revenue bond for AirAsia, describing the financial backing as “a critical step in strengthening its financial position and accelerating growth for its airline business”. Read More » Two private credit funds, Ares Management Corp. and Indies Capital Partners, will provide US$200 million of the funding to strategically reactivate aircraft grounded during the pandemic, Capital A said. The remaining US$243 million tranche, subscribed by aircraft lessors, will refinance lease liabilities. “Securing this revenue bond is a monumental development for us. It reflects the immense confidence investors have in our vision and future. We are approaching the finish line of our post-pandemic recovery journey,” Capital A CEO, Tony Fernandes, said.
