Boeing accelerates 737 MAX deliveries to China

Boeing delivered nine 737 MAXs to Mainland customers last month, its highest rate to China since December 2018. Read More » In March 2019, the Mainland’s aviation regulator grounded the MAX after fatal crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia, respectively. China was the first country to ground the type and the last to allow MAXs to return to flying at Mainland carriers. To add to Boeing’s recent woes, from May to June this year 737 and 787 deliveries to China were paused after the discovery of an issue with cockpit voice-recorder batteries aboard the Boeing aircraft.
