Avolon to lease A330neo to T’way Air

Read More » The wide-bodies, earmarked for the airline’s expanding international network, will be configured with 340-seat three-class cabins. T’way is an existing Avolon customer and will become the lessor’s 12th A330neo operator, Avolon said. “We have forged a strong relationship with Avolon. These new A330neos are an important next step in our growth ambitions. With 55 destinations and plans to expand our network these aircraft, offering business class, will help in our mission to give passengers exceptional service, reliability and value,” T’way Air representative director, Hong Geun Jeong, said. This year T’way began taking over four Seoul to Europe routes previously flown by Korean Air (KAL). The European Commission’s approval of the proposed merger of KAL and Asiana Airlines was dependent on T’way Air becoming the operator of the routes. T’way has been flying Seoul Incheon-Rome since August 8 and Incheon-Barcelona from September 11. The LCC’s Incheon to Frankfurt and Paris services will commence by year-end.
