All Nippon Airways rolls out remote sign language services at Japan’s airports

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has introduced remote sign language interpretation services at airports across Japan. Read More » Passengers wishing to activate the service can use their smart phones to scan a 2D QR code at any Japanese airport that will connect them to an operator who will provide simultaneous interpretation in sign language and voice between customers and airport staff. The service is being operated in partnership with PlusVoice Inc. Before the introduction of the QR code system, ANA offered remote sign language interpretation services via special assistance counters at Fukuoka, Naha, Nagoya Chubu, Osaka Itami, Osaka Kansai, Sapporo New Chitose and Tokyo Haneda airports.
