Global airline association concludes data access agreement with leading OEMs

The International Air Transport Association (IATA), Airbus, Embraer and Rolls-Royce have established five key principles for access and use of Aircraft Operational Data (AOD). Read More » The principles apply to AOD generated by aircraft after delivery to an operator, whether in flight or on the ground. They are subject to regulations and contractual agreements between the parties. The agreement is the result of discussions between IATA, on behalf of the airline community, and leading aircraft and engine manufacturers. “These principles bring transparency to the use of AOD. We look forward to other OEMs joining the early adopters in endorsing these commitments,” said IATA director general, Willie Walsh.
