Air Lease Corporation delivered 20 aircraft from its order book and sold nine aircraft to third-party buyers in the quarter to September 30. The lessor invested US$1.9 billion in aircraft in the three months and booked US$340 million from aircraft sales.
Boom Supersonic’s XB-1 test aircraft has completed its fifth test flight at the Mojave Air and Space Port in California. The aircraft achieved a new top speed of Mach 0.69 during the 50 minute flight. The company plans to conduct 10 subsonic test flights before the aircraft is tested at supersonic speed.
The International Civil Aviation Organisation and the International Renewable Energy Agency have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to expand financing opportunities for sustainable aviation fuels and other projects related to producing cleaner energy in the aviation sector.
Thai AirAsia hopes to raise 1.5 billion baht (US$45 million) through the sale of debentures with a term of two years and six months and a coupon rate of 5.65% per year, parent company Asia Aviation Public Company said in a regulatory filing. The issue date is October 18, 2024.
The latest aircraft to join Vietjet's fleet is an A321neo featuring a livery that commemorates 50 years of Vietnam-France diplomatic relations. The single aisle was unveiled at a special ceremony at Paris Orly Airport.
