Qantas Group lowers full-year domestic capacity guidance

Qantas Group has slowed the pace of capacity growth in its core Australian domestic market for the current financial year. Read More » Domestic capacity, measured by available seat kilometres, to be flown by its Qantas and Jetstar businesses is planned to rise 1% in fiscal 2024-2025, down from its previous guidance, in August, of a 2% increase. The airline group also raised its forecast for domestic unit revenue, or revenue per available seat kilometre, to 3%-5% for first half 2024-2025, higher by 2%-4% than its most recent guidance. For international operations, the group has raised capacity growth forecasts to 15% for the current financial year against an earlier 14% projection. “The group continues to perform in line with expectations with Qantas and Jetstar seeing stable demand," Qantas Group CEO, Vanessa Hudson, told shareholders at the company's recent annual general meeting.
