On November 28, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s (HKSAR) leaders cut the ribbon at a ceremony to mark the official inauguration of Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA) third runway system (3RS) and urged the industry “to soar” now the 3RS is operating. Read More » Construction of the third runway was completed in 2022 allowing the final phase of the new system, a reconfiguration of the central runway, to be undertaken. The extra runway and related multi-billion dollar infrastructure adjacent to HKIA is planned to accommodate up to 130 million passengers a year.
