Australia's International Air Services Commission, which manages the country's air traffic rights, has approved Qantas Freight's application for unlimited freight capacity between Australia and Hong Kong.
Cathay Pacific has renewed its content distribution agreement with Travelport, which includes working together on new distribution capability content that will be launched in coming months.
Boom Supersonic’s XB-1 test aircraft has completed its ninth test flight at the Mojave Air and Space Port in California. The aircraft recorded a new top speed of Mach 0.87 during flight. The company plans to test the aircraft at supersonic speed in 2025.
Pratt & Whitney’s PW1100G-JM geared turbofan engine has received certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration for the engine to power the A321XLR.
Australia-based regional airline, Skytrans, has inducted an A319 into its fleet to expand its aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI) services. “This expansion strengthens our position as a trusted provider of ACMI services and shows that we’re ready to meet a wide variety of clients’ needs,” Skytrans CEO, Alan Milne, said.
