Air China reports 20% increase in passengers flown in full-year 2024

Air China carried 155.3 million passengers last year, 20.9% more than in 2023, the carrier has announced. Read More » The biggest increase was a 141.9% jump in passenger numbers on international routes, the flag carrier said. Capacity was higher by 19.2% year-on-year and passenger traffic grew 33.2% year-on-year, including by 125.5% on international routes and 48.5% on regional routes. Capacity on international routes was at 100.4% and international passenger load factor increased to 79.8%. On international routes last month, capacity was up by 33% year-on-year and passenger traffic increased by 41.9% also year-on-year. At December 31, the Air China Group was operating 406 self-owned airplanes, 228 aircraft under finance lease and 296 aircraft on operating leases.
