Air India in talks to open direct India-Philippines flights

Air India executives have met with Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) regulators to discuss direct India-Philippines networks, the CAAP said in a statement. Read More » Both parties expressed optimism about the potential for the flights, highlighting growing demand for travel between the two countries. In January, the Philippines Department of Tourism said direct flights between India and the Philippines are in the works. India’s Ambassador to the Philippines, Shri Harsh Kumar Jain, added people-to-people contacts are “poised to grow” with the “likely commencement of direct flights between the two countries in the next few months”. An averaged 79,000 visitors traveled to the Philippines from India in 2024, a 12% increase compared with 2023.
