Pratt & Whitney has announced its GTF Advantage engine has been certified for the A320neo family by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. The Advantage is the latest engine from the GTF family to be certified.
Air India and Menzies Aviation have expanded their partnership to a full suite of ground handling and cargo services at eight airports across four continents. Menzies Aviation will deliver passenger, ramp, de-icing and cleaning services at London Heathrow, Copenhagen, Toronto, Kuwait and Los Angeles airports, and deliver cargo warehouse services at Kuwait, Dallas, Sydney and Melbourne airports.
The Airlines Pilots Association International (ALPA) opposes U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval of Boeing regulatory exemptions for the 737 MAX 7 and 737 MAX 10. Both aircraft types are in the process of being certified. The Boeing exemption request, submitted to the FAA in January, is for the stall-management yaw damper (SMYD). If granted, Boeing will not be required to demonstrate the SYMD software meets more stringent standards and also will allow faster installation of upgrades on MAX 8s and MAX 9s already in service.
Lessor CDB Aviation has delivered an A320neo to customer Colourful Guizhou Airlines, the second of the type to be accepted by the Mainland carrier from a confirmed order of three of the Airbus narrow-bodies from CDB Aviation.
China Southern Airlines (CSA) has reported that during the 2025 Spring Festival Travel Rush (Chunyun), from January 14 to February 22, it completed approximately 136,000 flights and transported more than 20.3 million passengers.
SAS Scandinavian Airlines has extended its code-sharing with Air France-KLM and has added Osaka and Bangkok to the agreement.
