Taiwan and Italy agree revised air services agreement

Read More » Passenger flights between the two countries can now be increased from seven a week to 19 and Venice can be added to the already operating destinations of Rome and Milan from Taiwan. Cargo operations are unchanged at three a week, but the new ASA allows “fifth freedom” rights for airlines headquartered in Taiwan and Italy. China Airlines operates three flights weekly to Rome and EVA Airways flies four times a week to Milan. Averaged load factor on the routes last year was 81% with 70,000 visits between Italy and Taiwan, 20% more than full-year 2023.
