Amadeus appoints AP president

Madrid-headquartered Amadeus has announced the appointment of Albert Pozo – with the firm for 23 years – as its new president for the Asia-Pacific region. Pozo, who takes office on August 3, will direct Amadeus’ regional corporate strategy, focusing on distribution and new business areas such as rail, hotel, payments and venture investments. Sabre hires AP SVP

Sabre Corp. has named Roshan Mendis its new senior vice-president for Sabre Travel Network, Asia Pacific. The announcement came following the company’s completion of its acquisition of Abacus International.

Mendis, a native of Sri Lanka, will be responsible for the overall Sabre Travel Network business in the region, including the newly acquired Abacus business. He previously was with Travelocity.com for twelve years, where he was most recently president of the Americas until its sale in early 2015 to Expedia.


Hawaiian selects pricing and revenue director

Hawaiian Airlines has appointed Eric Chen as director for international pricing and revenue management. Chen joins from United Airlines, where he spent more than eight years on the carrier’s pricing, inventory and revenue management teams.
