Global airline association reports air traffic demand eased in February

There are positive trends in passenger traffic in the months ahead, IATA said. “As of March 2025, scheduled flights globally for coming months are higher than in previous years, encouraging confidence the industry will see growth rates in line with recent observations,” IATA said. International revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) increased 5.6% in the reported month, but domestic RPKs declined 1.9%. Overall passenger load factor was up four tenths of a percentage point at 81.1%.The Asia-Pacific reported RPK growth of 4.2% for the 28 days.
