Global air cargo performance flat for February

Capacity shifted downwards by 0.4% in the 28 days, it added. Comparisons with the previous year were complicated because February 2024 was a leap year. “After correcting for seasonality, including the difference in the number of days, air cargo traffic in February 2025 is 3% above February 2024,” the IATA report said. IATA director general, Willie Walsh, said rising trade tensions were a concern for the air cargo market. “With equity markets already showing their discomfort, we urge governments to focus on dialogue over tariffs,” Walsh said. The Asia-Pacific recorded 5.1% CTK growth in the reported month and was runner-up to top performing Latin America’s 6% expansion.
