Bangladesh’s Novoair suspends operations

Bangladesh-headquartered Novoair has grounded its fleet and suspended all flights due to a funding shortfall, local media reports. Read More » The regional carrier, which began scheduled services in 2013, serves domestic routes across Bangladesh with five ATR 72-500s. The suspension is temporary, Novoair said, but it is selling the turboprops to raise cash and also is seeking an investor. Other Bangladesh airlines that have shut down in recent times are GMG Airlines, Regent Airways and United Airways.
