Qantas Airways applies for Perth-Paris code-share with Air France

Qantas Airways has submitted an application to Australia’s International Air Services Commission (IASC) to code-share with Air France on nonstop Perth-Paris Charles de Gaulle. Read More » At present, Qantas Airways has its airline code on Air France-operated flights to Paris from Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore and Air France has its AF airline code on Qantas-operated routes from Singapore to several destinations in Australia. “These expanded code share arrangements enable Air France to provide additional connectivity to Australia via Qantas non-stop services,” Qantas said in its application to the IASC. “The ability for these partner airlines to expand their selling proposition by independently marketing and pricing services between Australia and France enhances choices and benefits for consumers,” it said. The Australian flag carrier will offer Air France access to available inventory on the Perth-Paris service, it added.
